Letters for Grandma

Grandma Ede fell and broke her ankle two weeks ago! Trevor has been very concerned and "fixing" her letters everyday. He has discovered it goes much faster with two hands. Hope you are getting better Grandma!!

Buffalo Bill Cody and his Wild West Show

We went down to the beach last week to check out this art exhibit ...

Trevor's favorite part was walking behind all the pieces and reading the numbers.

"Surfers and dog-walkers heading onto Ocean Beach found themselves in the company of 100 wooden Indians on horseback, with face-paint and feathered spears glittering in the morning sun. The life-size plywood cutouts, above, lining the beach just below the Cliff House, are the work of Western artist Thom Ross, who based the richly colored tableaux on a famous black-and-white photo of Buffalo Bill Cody and his Wild West Show, below, that was taken on the same stretch of Ocean Beach in 1902. "It's a Valentine to my hometown," said Ross, a San Francisco native who lives in Seattle and sports a Vandyke much like the one worn by the Buffalo Bill on the beach. Ross re-created Custer's Last Stand at Little Big Horn with 200 wooden figures in 2005. "(from the SF Chronicle)

Endless Summer

What a wonderful summer! We have been having such a fun time. Several trips to Newport, a fabulous "though the eyes of a toddler" trip to Manhattan, endless playgroup outings, Mitchell's Ice Cream, enjoying our newly landscaped back yard, and chase after chase around the house.

in Newport during our August trip

Now comes the best weather in San Francisco: Indian Summer. While most of the rest of the U.S. starts cooling down for Fall, we should be just coming into stride with some beautiful days through at least mid-October.

Trevor is such a blast to be around. He normally wakes up in the morning fully charged and ready to roll. It keeps his old geezer parents on the move. The turbo energy of a three year old is truly infectious!

Budding Cyclist

Trevor is probably the only kid in the U.S. tearing around in a Vermarc skin suit. A friend of ours runs the U.S. distribution of Vermarc (Belgian Pro Cycling Clothing Maker) and he set Trevor up with two skin suits and a world champion jersey, especially made to "Trevor size". What is hilarious is the materials used to make Trevor's skin suits and jersey are the exact same as the Quick Step pro cycling team.

Trevor decided that he needed to wear his skin suit to the Discovery Museum today. Tall and proud and paint from head to toe in the Art Room!

Ready to race on the Newport Beach greenbelt.

Trevor knows a big part of cycling is keeping your bike in top running order. Here he uses a wrench from his own toolbox to get his bike ready for our trip to Newport Beach. We didn't tell him until later that the time trial helmet he had on his head was backwards. Boy was he peeved to find out that faux pas!
