Fun in Paris!!

We continue to have a blast in Paris. Brett was in Italy on Thanksgiving Day, so Shelly and Trevor tried to eat every yummy thing they could find in Paris to celebrate. Shelly & Trevor spent most of Thanksgiving day at the big fun playground, there were tons of other Americans. It was funny wishing everyone Happy Thanksgiving and discussing if there are any restaurants to get a turkey dinner in Paris.

Flys have become a theme of the trip, we packed several books with flys as the main character and a DVD of "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" . Trevor has watched the DVD probably a 100 times by now (it is very short - 10 minutes) and the song is very catchy. We have all been doing the fly dance around the apartment. A couple of days ago, while walking in front of Notre Dame Shelly had Trevor up on her shoulders. As we got to the big horse statue Shelly heard some munching noises and then felt Trevor flop over on here head. When Shelly asked was was going on, Trevor says "Mom I swallowed a horse... I died of course". He has died every time we have passed the statue since!

Pizza Chef

We have way too many fun things to do in the big city, a couple weeks ago we spent a fun day at one of the kiddie museums.

Making pizza, Trevor thought this was a blast!

Driving the delivery truck.

Sand Fun!

Hmmm... I don't think I would want to ride very far in this!! No CD player!!

Fast Bikes!!

The Six Day Bike Races started tonight. Trevor was very excited about going to see the fast bikes and Brett was so excited that Trevor was excited he nearly bust a button. Having a three year old out at 1am at the bike races also gets lots of concerned looks from passersby.

It was funny out shopping today, several store keepers asked as soon as we opened out mouths - oh you are American, what do you think about the election?!?! The funniest comment was from the lady at the toy store - "we are just glad Bush is gone, he kept doing strange things." Another said "I'm just glad Obama won, the other guy was too old."

Belgium!!

We have arrived in Belgium safe and sound. When we told Trevor we were going on the airplane, he was really excited to go back to Madde's house - - Belgium did not sound interesting at all. We explained about the waffles, fries and fast bikes at the Six Day Bike Races... but he still wanted to go to Madde's.
Trevor was a travel champion traveler on the 15 hour trip... he arrived in much better condition that Shelly and Brett. He slept most of the way, it seems much easier to sleep on the plane when you are made to rubber and the seat is huge compared to the size of your body.
We slept in then ate fries and waffles on our first day in town. Trevor wanted nothing to do with his coat today (only at home on hot days!! ) it is cold and he went out in a short sleeve t-shirt this evening for dinner!! Shelly took the coat along and asked every ten steps if the wanted it on yet - no way!! We got many concerned looks from passersby.
The bike racing starts tomorrow!!

Truck Riding

Back at our usual weekly kiddie museum, Trevor has discovered that he can ride the dump trucks down the hill. Way more fun that pushing them down!

Dropping Kids Off at the Pool!!

He finally did it -- Trevor dropped some kids off at the pool this morning. He may finally be on his way to getting potty trained. After months of begging, pleading and bribing; out of the blue he told Shelly he wanted to use the potty. Hooray!!

This is the outfit he chose to run errands today - snow boots, scarf, sunglasses, coat and hat!! Luckily he didn't seem to care his scarf was a dish towel. This is all extra funny since most days he refuses to wear a coat, or even clothes for that matter.

Stonewashed Jeans

This last weekend we met up with playgroup at this fun playground near our house.
Trevor was feeling bold and wanted to go on the BIG slide.

Most of the kids use cardboard to go faster. After watching a few of the bigger kids, he didn't want to go on the "fast cardboard". He insisted on just going on his bum.

He was having a blast, he just went up and down the slide for about a half hour.

The jeans my never be the same again!!

Un-Halloween

Well, Trevor wanted nothing to do with Halloween. He did not want to wear his monkey costume, or any other costume that was offered. He was feeling shy, so he would go up to the door with his friend, Kyler, knock and yell "Trick or Treat" and then run for cover as soon as someone answered the door. He didn't even want any candy. Kyler was getting two treats at each door and offering one to Trevor, but he didn't want anything in his bag!! He had a blast running around with his friend though.

Marshmallow

Trevor really needs a pet, he loves this garden rabbit. He has named his little friend Marshmallow, after the rabbit in one of our favorite books. Shelly and Trevor picked some carrots from the garden for Marshmallow a few days ago and when Shelly tried to feed them to Marshmallow right out the ground Trevor was horrified and insisted that the carrots needed to be washed. So here is Marshmallow eating his washed carrots fresh from the garden.
